April 2013

Because I am horrible lately, here is a month recap via instagram, phone pics, and real ones.
It was a CRAZY month!
I had a bridal shoot out at Antelope Island, so we let the kids tag along.  They had a blast with the herds of buffalo, while I had a blast doing what I do!

We had warm enough weather that I started venturing to the park with the younger kids
Then there was the time it snowed.... and we were freezing.  And Lillie just wanted junkie soup :)
Masons been practicing his smiles and giggles.  He even has a dimple! (bottom left picture on the left of his smile)
Oh, and he has gone completely bald.  So he is now my chubby bald baby boy!

Sometimes Braddock just likes to dress up. In girly things.

We had a visit to Wheeler Farm too. To shoot Christa and Riley's family pics.
Lillie is a horse whisperer.  She has requested a pony for her next birthday.

Damon is my kid when it comes to snakes! Daddy ran the other way while D and I went and caught this cutie :)

 Mason loves being outside.

Two years ago our sweet and spunky little Braddock Dean joined our family.
He has become a constant source of entertainment for all of us.  From his loud and outgoing and hilarious personality, to the epic two year old tantrums!  He is talking like crazy and if he doesn't know the word you get a very distinct "nng" and "mm' sound.  He is ALL about cars and trucks.  To the point of driving you crazy when driving in a car as he freaks out over everything he sees out the window :)  He loves loving on his baby brother.  He loves to think he is one of the big kids and does whatever they do.  He is crazy smart.  His favorite is to put together the truck puzzles on my phone.
His smile and laugh... they are more infectious than ever

It took a minute to figure the whole gift opening thing out.

He found it necessary to hand me every little scrap of paper he tore off.

He has this funny little thing he does.  Maybe a tad OCD? He lines up all of his cars in a perfect line.  Even rearranges them in order of size.  No one showed him this.  He just does it.

Grandpa saved him from the big scary truck

Grandma held all his cars so he could play with something else

His birthday wasn't complete without his cake!  CAT trucks of course!  Candy rocks and all...

so he pushed the whole cake away :)

Once the cake was done it was time to play with all his new toys!

Happy birthday my sweet boy!

Apr 24, 2013

A little sweetness to brighten the day!

9 weeks old. Sweet baby boy. With your chubs, and pouty lips, and lashes for days. You have us all wrapped around your little finger. What a sweet babe you are. Smiling and cooing, and making everyone laugh. You brighten up the bad days, and remind us of how precious these days are. ( weeks have sure flown by! I wish I could freeze time and you could stay our tiny boy for forever. But clearly I can't. You are growing faster than any of your siblings ever did! You must be in a hurry to catch up and play :) Love you Mason Troy!

This blanket I made, while you were nested inside. Made with my love, for yours to keep forever.

Masons Blessing Day

April 6th, 2013
Mason Troy Hanson's special blessing day.
Surrounded by our family and friends, the love and support that we felt is indescribable.
In the midst of a chilly rainy day, the sun peeked through the clouds just in time.
Such a special and beautiful moment for our family.  Giving our baby his name, and sealing a blessing on his head.  It's a sweet reminder of all that we hold dear.  The importance of family.  And of friends.  And of the gospel.

Despite his goofy cheesiness, I usually get a good shot! Love this man! :)

What a beautiful family we have been blessed with.  We treasure them more than we can express.  No life is not all peaches and cream, but family is THE most important thing to us.  We love our life.  We love our 5 babies.  We are so grateful for all we have.

Thank you to all of you who went out of your way to spend a few hours with us.   We love and appreciate every single one of you.
(Sorry I didn't think to get pics with everyone! I didn't even get my camera out until almost everyone had left. dang it!)
