I must say. Damon has had quite the eventful day!
For mom, it started waaaay too early :)
Last night I was pulling his cake out of the oven and I dropped iton my nice clean, freshly bleached floor. So I had to start over. This time I did cupcakes. It took me until almost midnight to finish!
James is only home for a few hours in the morning sleeping, so I decided we'd do his gifts this morning. Thinking this would at least let dad be there for the fun stuff! I creatively , individually wrapped a set of sharks. I used things from cups to Tupperware to tissue boxes. I must say, it threw him off! ha ha! And when he was done James said "Didnt you get him some baseball stuff?" Crap! I totally forgot about the gift in the top of the closet! (this goes back to the late night/early morning)
D was hilarious as always. He walked out to a room full of streamers and helium balloons (this kid is nuts for balloons!) He got all excited and when I shouted "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" at him he got all bashful ;)
We ran a few errands, which Damon loves going places so it was all fun for him! Came home and his Aunt Christa took us, HIM, to Los Hermanos for lunch. This kid LOVES their nacho's! They sang him a really loud Happy Birthday Song during which he kept his ears plugged and gave them a dirty face :) It was quite entertaining. I wish I'd had my camera! Seriously!
We cam home and had cupcakes. He was so excited about the candles that we only made it halfway through the song before he blew them out. Hilarious.
Grandma Finley came and gave him some great gifts! An Ironman mask and some race cars he is loving!
We took him to the aquarium, his new favorite place to go (asks at least 3x a week to go).
It's been a good day. I have a happy 4 year old who is playing sharks all over my house and making them eat things and chase his baby sister.
I think he would agree.
