Random Musings

I haven't really posted much lately so I thought I'd just catch you up a bit :) Not a whole lot is happening. At least nothing exciting. LOL

Let's see. Lillie broke off her front tooth we had fixed last month. So now we get to take her back in and have a full cap made on her tooth :/ This girl is such a klutz! James and I are counting down until she is our first kid to have to get stitches or break something :)

Our beloved little 6 month old hamster, Sugar, died Friday. It was horribly sad. Especially for Cherish. She found her not quite gone in the bottom of her cage. So Cherry held her sobbing until she passed. I cried as much as she did! What's worse is I realized I never took any pictures of Sugar. So I quickly grabbed the camera and caught a few of the kids with her. They were so in love with this sweet little thing. She never bit or fussed or tried to get away. She loved the attention the kids gave her.

I tore the tendons in the top of my ankle. No joke. This happened 2 days after I had my best run yet. I was only 5 minutes away from my high school PR for a 5k! Augh!!! So frustrating. This week marks the first time I can run again. With a brace :( I hate ankle braces. I hate not having the flexibility when I hit the pavement. Oh well, I should just be happy I can run again! I am sure this will slow me down again, but I'll get back up there. My goal is still to run the 4th of July 5k here in Murray. I need to have some serious improvement in the next month. I seriously have a goal of running 6 days a week, rain or shine!

James' temporary 2nd job working security is proving to be just that. Temporary. They have no shifts open that fit his schedule so as of the 4th this week he is done there. While we are extactic we will actually be able to see him again, we are stressing over finances again. All things will come together I am sure. They always do somehow.

James and I have had an awesome weekend. No holiday for us- he works :/ Boooo!
So we made the most of our Saturday. Friday was actually funny in a stellar way :) James got off at 11 and came home. Kids were in bed and I was asleep. But this is our only time alone together so I woke up. We stayed up past 5am just talking and snuggling (and other things;)- ). We have not done that in so many years!!! It was awesome. Seriously the best night ever. It was like we reconnected as a couple and not just parents with responsibilities. I highly recommend this to all :) Saturday we did our usual grocery shopping with the kids and then James took me out on my Mothers Day date. Another awesome night with the man of dreams. I am so lucky to have him! :) Sappy I know. ha ha ha ha
