Turkeys & Muffins!

I decided since my busy season with Photography has slowed down, it is about time for me to get back to my family. Back to taking pictures of our everyday moments, and making time for crafts and holiday celebrations. This is seriously my favorite time of year! I have so much planned for Christmas!!! So you had best check back here often!
And my blog was making me crazy so I had to change it up before I posted :) I was going to go Thanksgiving themed, but I am more in the mood for Christmas. Plus, this way I won't have to change it in 2 weeks :)

I decided to do an art project with the kids in honor of Thanksgiving. I think I am still getting feathers in my nose when I enter the kitchen (Damon thought it'd be fun to dump them all over the table and turn the fan on). We had a blast though. These were super easy to make and super cute in the end! Some Styrofoam balls, toothpicks, feathers and eyes. We made one for each member of the family. Including "baby". I will admit, they look quite adorable on a plate of leaves in the center of my table :)

And cute Lillie, I had to leave it, she decided it looked like chocolate and to taste it :)

On to the muffins!

This time of year I love the smell of Pumpkin Spice and everything that has anything to do with it!

One of my favorite recipes ever come from my Mom. The most amazing cook ever. No, seriously. I only dream of cooking like her (although I am not too shabby myself :)

Here is the awesome recipe!

2 cups flour
2 cups whole wheat flour

1/2 tsp baking soda
4 tsp pumpkin spice
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs
2 cups milk
1/2 cup melted margarine
2 cups brown sugar
1-16oz can Pumpkin (1 1/2 cups)

Melt margarine and beat in eggs, milk and pumpkin. Stir in dry ingredients until moistened.

Spoon into muffin cups(full)
Bake 25 minutes

*I love to add things to this. Leftover over ripe Bananas, some cream cheese, applesauce etc.)*
If you make them let me know what you think!

How about we do a cookbook? Your food photos definitely enhance the recipes. :) Mom
