1 week of pure Bliss

I am still in denial that my sweet baby boy is already a week old!

It's funny the way that for us, each kid we have just seems to fall right into place without skipping a beat. We enjoyed 2 days at home of peace and quiet and then it was back to the daily grind of work, school, cleaning,laundry,homework...Sometimes I look down and it's like I forgot I went through what I did to get him here. Like he's been here this whole time.

Braddock is an absolute angel. He is so peaceful and sweet. Rarely makes a squeak, except when the wipe is a tad too cold or he is getting poked in the heel for blood work. And even then it never lasts for even a minute.

He is one tough little guy. From the chord around his neck twice, to the nicu, to the under developed lungs, to the daily and every other day blood work to check his jaundice levels, to coming home to 3 crazy loud and sometimes, a little to cuddly, siblings. He never complains. Makes me wonder what personality he will grow to have. I have my instincts, but I won't say :)

Our home is abounding with love right now. And we are just trying to soak it all in. Sure, sure, there is craziness. I do have 4 kids now :)But there is the sweetest spirit and an overwhelming feeling of peace and gratitude.

Maybe it's because today is Easter and all morning I have been reflecting on it's true meaning. And the sacrifice that was made for me, and for my children. I have been pondering on my own trials that I have faced in getting these sweet children into my home. And it keeps coming back to Christ. Without him I would not have the chance for any of this. I am at a loss for words to describe my gratitude today. I am grateful for my losses and all my trials. They make me stronger, they make me more grateful and they teach me so much.

I would gladly go through everything I have all over again.

After all, how lucky am I?

I have been blessed with a beautiful family. 4 kids, who each in their own way have brought me so much joy and happiness. And have made me feel complete.

An amazing husband, who works more than he should have to, to provide for our family. Who loves me beyond words and puts up with my craziness :) A man who is an amazing example to our children. Who is hands on with them, and teaches them and loves them unconditionally. Who is always by my side and supporting and encouraging me. A man, who I could not even take one breath without. I love you Jam. Beyond words, beyond tears. I am so grateful for you. You have no idea. You mean everything to me.

On that note: how lucky I am indeed. Right now I feel especially lucky to have this sweet boy in my arms...
