Getting my groove back, and having fun along the way

So a week and a day in this house and I am finally feeling like I am making progress.
The kitchen is complete aside from painting and curtains.
The main bath is done aside from painting.
The downstairs workout/toy room is done.

I am not feeling quit so overwhelmed when I walk through and see how much is left to do. Even though it is A LOT.

I think it's because I have been giving myself my "me" time again.  Last week I began jogging again. Went twice.
This week I am going 3x.  And I am loving it.  Today especially I finally feel like I am getting into my groove again.  I had a great run.  Followed by mowing. And it was funny. . .

Now, this being a new place I had no idea what to expect.  We got a mower from my parents yesterday.
It took me about an hour to do the lawns front and back. And the back yard is pretty big. And half of it is a nice hill.
So 1/2 way into mowing the back I decided that mowing counts as a day of running. ha haa
Especially when you are pushing it with the handle arm off one side because you lost the bolt holding it- MAJOR ARM WORKOUT to hold it steady.
And especially when 50 minutes into the job to realize that if you push the arm bar in the mower propels itself.
So I think I got a damn good workout today :)
I might do abs tonight, but the rest of me is good to go!

I won't mention the other funny things that happened, because I have 4 older brothers who would never let me live it down
:)
Happy Monday!

The Plan

ok, really I should be packing like a crazy maniac right now, but Braddock is having a fussy time.  And since I have to sit and hold him, I might as well blog :)

So here's where we are moving to, and my plans. . .

It's a Rambler Home, with a pretty big back yard for the kiddos -forgot to take a pic of that.

The upstairs,

you walk into the living room. . .
Which made me laugh when I walked in and saw it was the same painting/wallpaper from my sister who lived there a long time ago :)
I have a yummy earthy/stone grey color i have picked out

The main bath. I fell in love with this curtain and have planned the whole bathroom around it. Color on the wall, LIME-ish. It's gonna ROCK! towels and rugs are a cocoa/grey and pale teal-ish.

The Master Bedroom- I hate white! lol I have something so freaking AWESOME planned for this room. But I am not revealing it until it is done :)

The Boys Room. Well, since I happened to have some paint colors sitting around for the last 6 yrs, I had to use it! They really have no bedding or anything that coordinates, but I had to do stripes...
Then I found the awesome Ocean/Boat decoratins and it all came together!

The Kitchen.
I don't know about you, but this is where most of my time is spent. Ok here and the office. I have always loved BOLDness. And I have always LOVED Orange. So the main house color will continue in here, but I have an awesome deep Orange/Red color wash I am going to do too on the long wall. It's going to be kick A$% :)

Walks right into what will be the Toy/Workout/Game Room
Complete with workout materials, Wii, PS2(need to upgrade), and movies and toys. . .

The OFFICE-
needs a lot of TLC as this is where my creative genius needs to feel enlightened and motivated. I am thinking a beach theme. the white walls will be an ocean blue color. Add some distressed white wood frames holding my favorite images I have captured all over. . .

The Bath- newly built and quite pretty! Not sure what I am doing there yet :)

The Girls Room
I have plans, oh how I have plans. I want their room really bright and cheery since they are alone in the basement.
This is ordered for them both:

I am doing the walls in the pink color. Except for the wall where their beds will be. It will be yellow, and I am going to outline a large diamond pattern all over in pink. not filled in, just outlined. And I want to get a white hanging chandelier wall sticker to go between their beds.

And there ya have it! Our new temporary home. I am so excited to have SPACE. And a place for the kids to play. And no directly wall related neighbors!

:)

ok, now back to packing. This bebe is asleep finally!

Chaos

I'm learning that no matter how OCD I am,
moving destroys that
LOL

My life consists of boxes, tape, more boxes, the taste of boxing tape from tearing it with my teeth....
Photobucket

I'm grateful Braddock is so little. He sleeps through most of it...
Photobucket

Lillie is fastly learning that she can get away with things while mommy is so distracted...

I've still got one HUGE wedding, and 2 sessions to edit during all of this...

But the fun part, is coming across old memories....

In case you are wondering. Above left: me at age 14, and my little sis Kesia at 8yrs. Choir concert in GA.
above right: me and James in our skinny days. hee heeee

It's Official

We're moving!!!
I am so excited I could scream!
We got this amazingly lucky deal on an old home in Sandy.
A home that I actually know pretty well.
My sister lived there for sometime and I used to work for her.
So I was there daily :)

We will have double our space here.
A yard.
WITH A FENCE!
3 finished bedrooms.
2 storage rooms
2 bathrooms
2 living rooms (one up and one down)

AND NO NEIGHBORS ABOVE, BELOW, OR TO THE SIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that may just be the best part!

So this is why my blogging is sparce.
From the time I drop Cherish off at school I am there scrubbing like crazy every inch and nook and cranny.
Then I pick Cherry up and head back for another hour until Dad needs the car for work.
Fridays I spend ALL day there except for picking up Cherry from school and dropping dad off at work.
And of course our weekends will be there too.

My goal is to have it totally ready by the end of the first week in June.
Then I get to focus on cleaning up/organizing/packing and moving all our 9 years of collected "stuff". And hoping I can do that in a week.
Sound do-able?
Ya, if every waking moment is spent on that.
But I have 4 kids, and 5 sessions I am editing bertween.
Time is tight!

So wish me luck!
And I will post pics soonish

For now
Happy Almost Summer!!
